Parenting Coaching is available to persons throughout the United States and is particularly helpful to persons outside of the Northern Colorado area who would like to use our services.  Coaching is not the same as counseling.  Coaching is supportive and educational rather than therapeutic. Demi currently is offering Phone and Email Coaching for Parents of Traumatized Children to help them heal their children's wounds using the Forbes/Post Beyond Consequences techniques.  Coaching is available in 15 minute segments for $25 a segment and may be prepaid by check or credit card.

Crossroads Christian Life Coaching is a new service. Life Coaching is for people who are not looking for therapy or healing, but rather guidance and support .  A life coach might be used when you want to change your direction in life, embark on a new career, change your lifestyle to better reflect your values, search for a mate, adopt a child, write a book, start a ministry or begin working in one, develop a talent, grow spiritually, discover and utilize your gifts, or better understand your relationship with God.  The possibilities are endless - the primary emphasis is on growth - as an individual, as a spiritual being, as a child of God.

Because life coaching is not therapy, it is not regulated in the same way that mental health services are.  Life coaching is most frequently done by phone and can be offered in any geographical area. The focus of the session is entirely upon the client's life goals.  A coach will guide, support, assist with focus, offer helpful activities, and establish accountability, but does not "fix" a client.  The client is not diagnosed or analyzed; the emphasis is on identifying and developing the client's strengths. A helpful analogy can be taken from sports.  A sports doctor will "fix" or heal an athlete's body; the athlete's coach helps the athlete maximize performance and potential while avoiding injury. The client defines his goals (sometimes with the help of the coach) and the coach helps the client achieve those goals.
